Buying outdoor gear is a significant investment. Trying it first — on real water or real trails — is the only way to know if it's the right fit. We're a short hop from Lake Huron and the Peek-A-Boo Trails and ready to get you moving. Contact us to learn more or schedule a session (unscheduled demos are always at the discretion of staff on hand).
Bikes
Rent one of our fat tire, gravel, or mountain bikes for a half or full day. No appointment needed during shop hours.
Kayaks & SUPs
We carry the plastic/rotomold P&H sea kayak lineup — Virgo LV/MV/HV, Scorpio LV/MV/HV, Delphin 150/155, Leo HV — as well as the Scupper 12', 14', and 16' sit-on-top series by Swell Watercraft. Our inventory lets you compare hull sizes and models side by side to find what fits your paddling goals. We also carry Glide and have access to NRS paddle boards.
How to get on the water
Guided on-water demo: Staff works with you directly on boat features and skills as needed. Best for newer paddlers or anyone wanting hands-on guidance.
Rental sea trial: Head out on your own at standard rental rates if you have the skills to do so safely.
Unsupervised test paddle: At staff discretion. For experienced paddlers who want a quick comparison paddle.
Want to build your skills before or after your purchase? We offer kayak lessons or a Wet Exit Clinic. For paddlers purchasing a sea kayak after a guided demo, a Wet Exit Clinic is required — because we want to make sure you're confident and capable before you take your new boat home.
