Woods & Waters and the Les Cheneaux Islands are only 30 minutes from the Mackinac Straits/ St. Ignace / Mackinaw City area, 45 minutes form the Soo (Sault Ste. Marie), or 1.5 hours from Tahquamenon Falls and the Whitefish Point area. If you are hiking the Narnia Trail (Bush Bay Trail), you will be driving right by us. Don't miss out on getting out on the water with a guided kayaking tour and really seeing what this area has to offer!
The Les Cheneaux Islands area consists of the small year-round communities of Hessel and Cedarville in Michigan's eastern Upper Peninsula.
Directions (we've moved!!)
If crossing the "Mighty Mac" from the lower peninsula, continue on I-75 north through St. Ignace. Drive north 15 miles and take Exit 359 for Les Cheneaux/ Pickford/ Drummond Island. Turn right (east) onto M-134 and meander for about 16 miles. We are east of the Hessel blinking light by 2.6 miles, and 0.1 miles east of the Four Mile Block intersection directly across the road from Autore Oil. Our driveway is just before the yellow ATV road sign on the south-side of the road. If you reach the second blinking light for Cedarville, you've missed us!
