YA Adventure Days
Attention local young adults interested exploring the Les Cheneaux Islands by kayak! Spend a day on the water like a tourist paddling a sea kayak!
Open to students attending Les Cheneaux, Pickford, DeTour, and Rudyard Schools as well as LCI-area homeschoolers. And with the support of Islands Wildlife, students can attend with zero cost to them with a refundable $10 deposit!
- Open to students entering 7th–12th grade (including recent graduates)
- Adventure Days can take place in June, July, or August
- Adventure Days will be custom scheduled when enough kids have registered
- A group of interested students could propose a day that works for them
- Minimum 3 kids for any one trip to run (max 5 per trip)
- Time slots: 8:30–2:30 pm or 2:00–sunset
- Contact us to get on a list for upcoming dates or some dates that work
- Spots are held with a $10 cash deposit (returned the day of their trip)
- Includes: snacks, kayaks, all associated paddling gear, guide, and a picnic meal
- You could, based on space, attend more than one YA Adventure Day.
- Days impacted by inclement weather would be rescheduled (if possible)
