Come & Find Us

Not everything worth finding is in your feed.
Including our physical store in the eastern UP.

A few hours playing outside with the right people
in the right place does something to you.

Something good.

Most people turn left. The best ones turn right.

We're based in Cedarville, Michigan, in a part of the UP that doesn't get the postcard attention — which, depending on how you feel about crowds, is exactly the point. The Les Cheneaux Islands (lay shh-know) are 36 islands of varying sizes tucked along the northern shore of Lake Huron, just 30 minutes and two right turns from the Mackinac Bridge.

Guided kayaking ecotours. Small groups, friendly guides, and some of the most extraordinary water in the Great Lakes — two-hour paddles, half-day trips, sunset tours, and a 3-night women's-only adventure that people come back from themselves again. You'll leave knowing the difference between a merganser and a loon, why the water is so impossibly clear, and probably a few things about the people you paddled with. Hikers and birders, we've got options for you too. Browse all our tours — or let's build something together.

Provisioning for curious minds. We're the kind of shop worth ducking into even if you thought you didn't need anything. We've curated a thoughtful, tested selection of gear that gets you outdoors and keeps you there more comfortably — plus books, field guides, and other interesting finds (often small makers or women-led). Happy to share local trail, preserve, and water info too.

Rentals? Build your own adventure — kayaks, SUPs, or bikes for half, full, or multiple days. And if your bike needs a tune-up or a fix, our repair shop's ready before or after your trip.

these are a few of
our favorite things.

(it's ok if you just realized you're humming)

we're closer than you think

We're in the Les Cheneaux Islands — a string of 36 islands along the
northern shore of Lake Huron in Michigan's eastern Upper Peninsula.

Just 30 short minutes from the Mackinac Bridge and Saint Ignace.
